Every cluster can tumble, but the special multiplier increases only when the Smash event activates. Do not treat a long symbol chain as automatic progression.
- Track the change in increment size
The bonus multiplier rises by 10x steps until 100x, then by 100x on later Smashes up to 1,000x. Crossing that boundary changes each event's value sharply.
- Compare multiplier level with time left
A huge value near the final turn may never meet a cluster. Record both the multiplier and remaining spins instead of celebrating the number alone.

Aztec Smash uses a familiar 7×7 cluster-and-tumble base but gives the bonus a distinctive scale change. Six or more matching symbols form a cluster and disappear. A random Smash can apply 10x to a base-game sequence. Three to seven Scatters award 10–30 Free Spins, where each new Smash increases a persistent multiplier by 10x until it reaches 100x. Further events then add 100x at a time, with a 1,000x ceiling. That creates two phases: steady early building and much larger late jumps. The official configuration lists 96.52% RTP, high volatility and a 9,000x maximum. The progression is easy to follow, and early Smashes give later clusters more weight. Its weakness is timing: a dramatic multiplier may arrive too late or sit through empty boards. This is a multiplier chase for players comfortable with long quiet stretches between meaningful collisions.

Six matching symbols form a cluster
Connected groups of at least six identical icons pay anywhere on the grid, disappear and allow new symbols to tumble into the cleared cells.
Base Smashes can award 10x
A random Smash event may activate during ordinary play and multiply a qualifying spin or tumble result by ten.
Scatters award ten to thirty turns
Three through seven Scatters provide a rising Free Spins allocation from ten up to thirty, creating more runway for multiplier events.
Bonus Smashes raise one lasting value
Each event adds 10x until the multiplier reaches 100x, then adds 100x on later appearances until the 1,000x limit.
Acceleration after 100x
The same event becomes ten times stronger
Before 100x, each Smash adds ten. Beyond that point it adds one hundred, so reaching the threshold early changes the value of every later appearance.
