Three things to watch
- Identify the cluster before the reel moves
Count connected gems immediately after the initial drop. When a nudge follows, compare the same edges so you can tell whether movement created a new win or only shifted symbols.
- Attach each multiplier to its moving Wild
A 1x–10x value belongs to the Wild produced during a nudge. Follow that symbol’s new position and only count the multiplier when it participates in the resulting cluster.
- Use the bonus guarantee as a baseline
At least one reel nudges after every Free Spin. Judge the feature by how often that guaranteed movement creates an extra paying connection, not by movement alone.
Our take
A cluster game where vertical movement is useful only when it changes adjacency
Gem Elevator makes reel movement the event to evaluate. Five or more matching jewels connected vertically or horizontally form a cluster on the 6×5 board. After the initial result, one or more complete reels can nudge upward or downward, changing which symbols touch across the column boundaries. Wilds appearing through that movement receive multipliers from 1x to 10x, but the number matters only if the shifted position becomes part of a paying group. Four, five or six Bonus symbols award 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins, and at least one nudge is guaranteed after every bonus turn. Four to six symbols during the feature retrigger five, eight or ten extra spins. Pragmatic Play lists 96.53% RTP, high volatility and a 10,000x maximum for the reviewed game. The concept is stronger than a purely cosmetic reel shake because the board before and after movement can be compared directly. Its risk is that guaranteed motion can still produce no useful adjacency; repeated nudges may look active without raising the session value. Players who enjoy spatial cluster mechanics should find the mine-shaft presentation unusually appropriate. Players seeking a meter that steadily advances may prefer a collector, because Gem Elevator resets its main puzzle each spin. In the demo, pause mentally before and after each nudge and follow the Wild rather than the animation. That is the quickest way to learn whether the mechanic feels meaningful.
How it plays
What happens when you spin
A six-column cluster grid is evaluated, then whole reels may shift vertically and introduce multiplier Wilds before the final result is settled.
Adjacent groups of five or more pay
Matching gems connect through shared horizontal or vertical edges anywhere on the 6×5 board, so wins do not need to begin on the leftmost reel.
The elevator nudges complete reels
After a spin, selected columns can move upward or downward. The changed vertical alignment may connect symbols that were separated in the original result.
Nudge Wilds carry up to 10x
Wild symbols arriving with the movement receive a multiplier between 1x and 10x, applied when that Wild contributes to a qualifying cluster win.
Bonus turns guarantee reel movement
Four to six Bonus symbols award 10–20 turns. At least one nudge occurs after every bonus spin, with further symbols able to add five to ten turns.
Compare before and after
The elevator earns its value by changing which gems touch
A moving reel is not automatically progress. The useful read is whether new horizontal edges form and whether a multiplier Wild joins them after the column settles.
